Welcome to the Wiltshire Intelligence Network

The Wiltshire Intelligence Network has been developed in response to the ever growing demand for local information, be it for developing local strategies, funding applications or assisting local decision making. The network consists of a number of key organisations in Wiltshire who are involved in the collection and analysis of local data. It is often difficult to know what information exists or who can supply it. Our aim is to improve access to information in Wiltshire by providing a 'one-stop shop' for key local data and reports, presented in a consistent format that are easy to understand and use.

The site contains information covering a wide variety of topics, which has been arranged into 12 topic themes, as set out in the "How this site is organised" page. The site content will continue to grow and be updated. If you have any comments or suggestions please contact us.

Key Documents 

The Joint Strategic Assessment for Wiltshire brings together the key evidence and priorities identified by each of the thematic delivery partnerships into a single comprehensive report. The JSA is supported by partnership needs assessments and evidence including:

  1. The Joint Strategic Assessment for Health and Wellbeing - describes the current and future health, wellbeing and care needs of the Wiltshire population and the strategic direction of service delivery to help meet those needs.

  2. The Children and Young People in Wiltshire Needs Assessment - an overview of the characteristics of children and young people in Wiltshire, with key indicators relevant to the 5 Every Child Matters outcomes.

  3. The Strategic Economic Assessment - an assessment of Wiltshire's economic performance, businesses, labour market and residential and commercial property markets.

  4. The Community Safety Partnership Strategic Assessment - an assessment of crime and disorder in Wiltshire.

  5. The State of the Environment Report for Wiltshire and Swindon - produced by the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust in partnership with NHS Wiltshire and Wiltshire Council.

Information Sharing Agreement

In April 2011 members of the Wiltshire Public Services Board signed up to a unique agreement to share information between them so that they can work together for the benefit of the public of Wiltshire. This top level commitment will provide a steer to all staff of such organisations to work together to bring about a new era of cooperation and support.
