National Institute for health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidance

1 - NICE guidance and public health outcomes

The public health outcomes framework for England sets out objectives for the public health system in the 3 years from April 2013.  It consists of 4 domains and over 60 indicators for measuring progress.  This document (NICE guidance and public health outcomes) provides links to NICE guidance relevant to more than 40 of these indicators and shows how it can help local authorities tackle their public health priorities.

2 - NICE guidance: health inequalities and population health

This briefing (NICE guidance: health inequalities and population health) summarises NICE's recommendations for local authorities and partner organisations on population health and health inequalities. It is particularly relevant to health and wellbeing boards.
